Single Red
Sea-Dweller SRSD 1665 — Single Red
Pre-production watch never sold to the public: only “Sea-Dweller” is red, the white line below gives 500 m / 1650 ft, meters first – the only meters-first Sea-Dweller. “Date” is printed larger than usual next to “Oyster Perpetual”. Inside casebacks stamped II.67. About a dozen are known, presented to SEALAB, Tektite, Deepstar 4000 and other pioneers.
Known case numbers 1,602,913–1,602,931 plus 1,820,177 (Brauer valve prototype, made 1968). One further watch, 1,759,659, wears a Single Red dial but began life as a non-valve Double Red.
