Oman Khanjar
Sea-Dweller 1665 — Oman Khanjar
Made for the Sultan of Oman in the 1970s and supplied through Asprey, London: almost no text on the dial, which carries the Khanjar emblem instead; casebacks bear an Asprey stamp and the serial.
The valve patent (CH492246) was filed on 6 November 1967 and granted in June 1970. Cases up to the 2.9 million batch use casebacks stamped IV.67; a thicker case arrived in the first quarter of 1972 (I.72). Double Red production ran from about 1.7 to 5.1–5.2 million.
