Beyer Numbered Edition
Perpetual Calendar 3940 — Beyer Numbered Edition
The first 25, delivered to Beyer in May 1985 for its 225th anniversary, with numbered dials: nos. 1–15 in German, 16–25 in English. No. 1 (movement 770.001) went to Theodore Beyer; no. 2 is in the Patek Philippe Museum. Gold (“doré”) as well as silvered dials exist.
Collectors divide production into series; the first 25 were numbered dials for Beyer. Hallmarks move from the case side to the lugs as production advances.
