Perpetual Calendar 3940
1985–20078 variants
Slim (9 mm) micro-rotor perpetual calendar with three sub-dials: day with 24-hour at 9, month with leap year at 3, date with moon at 6. Patek’s first perpetual made in large numbers; Philippe Stern wore one daily. Made in yellow, pink and white gold and platinum; Stern Frères dials.
Collectors divide production into series; the first 25 were numbered dials for Beyer. Hallmarks move from the case side to the lugs as production advances.
