Grand Tank Cintrée (9 lignes) · Luminous Arabic Dial
Tank Cintrée — Grand Tank Cintrée (9 lignes) · Luminous Arabic Dial
Undated
Arabic numerals arrived early on Cintrée dials, first in black paint; from the late 1920s a handful carried luminous radium numerals, with lume-filled cathedral hands. Best known is the yellow-gold piece Fred Astaire gave in 1929, now in the Cartier collection. A white-gold 1930s example engraved 1933 is the only one known in public hands.
