Honeycomb Dial, Rotating Bezel
Milgauss 6541 — Honeycomb Dial, Rotating Bezel
1956–1960
The standard 6541. Black honeycomb dial of layered metal mesh with round radium plots and faceted steel triangles at 3, 6 and 9, red “Milgauss” at twelve (it usually fades to pink) and the lightning-bolt seconds hand. The black rotating bezel is the Milgauss’s own, in six divisions with a red triangle, not the 6543’s Submariner bezel. Many dials have turned an even “tropical” brown.
