Milgauss 6541
1956–19603 variants
The Milgauss in its classic form: honeycomb dial, red “Milgauss” at twelve, lightning-bolt seconds hand and its own rotating bezel. Shielded by antimagnetic alloys and a soft-iron movement cover acting as a Faraday cage, guaranteed to 1,000 gauss. Known examples carry 412,xxx case numbers, many stamped IV.1958 inside the caseback.
Very small production: Phillips counts fewer than 200 examples of the 6543 and 6541 combined; Fratello estimates around 200. Phillips Geneva XVII (May 2023) sold case 412'399 for CHF 2,238,000.
