Undated
White dial instead of the usual black, believed to have been fitted to at least some watches supplied to Pan Am pilots. Extremely rare; produced in very limited numbers. Example: case 461,420 (1959, cal. 1066), from the last 6542 batch, with radium plots aged to caramel and an early steel bezel.
A Rolex statement of early 1960 gives 605 Bakelite-bezel GMT-Masters imported to the US by then.
