Paul Newman (Exotic Dial)
Cosmograph Daytona 6239 — Paul Newman (Exotic Dial)
Three-colour black, white and red exotic dial by Singer with “Daytona” above six, in white or black. Sold poorly when new: roughly one exotic for every 20 standard dials, made for about four to five years. Paul Newman’s own was a 6239, retailed by Tiffany & Co. in 1968. A 1967 example keeps a second-series 300-unit bezel.
About 14,000 made, a few hundred of them in gold, per auction and collector estimates.
Identifying details
- Pump pushers

- Tachymeter bezel
