Tank Asymétrique Parallélogramme
1936–?8 variants
The original: a rectangular Tank case twisted to an oblique angle, with a lozenge-shaped dial whose 12 and 6 sit at the upper-right and lower-left corners. Not originally part of the Tank line; a Cartier archive extract of 24 September 1936 records a “Bracelet Montre or Parallélogram, Modèle 385”. Two original styles existed: the Parallélogramme and the Losange à Brides, the latter with an extra central lug into which the strap was integrated. Also called “Losange”.
No reference number: identified by model name (archive “Modèle 385”) and case numbers. Only a handful of original examples are known.
