Crown at 12
Tank à Guichets — Crown at 12
Undated
The typical original layout, with the winding crown at twelve above the hour window. A c. 1928 Cartier Paris example in yellow and pink gold was bought by the Maharaja of Patiala.
No reference number; each 1920s–30s example was essentially a unique commission, varying in aperture shape, brancard integration, crown position and metal. Fewer than 400 Tank à Guichets of all eras are thought to exist.
