Plain burgundy (deep red) lacquer dial without numerals — Cartier logo, “Swiss” and date window only — with gold sword hands and a red cabochon crown in place of the blue sapphire. The lacquer is prone to spider-web cracking.
A dealer-dated example is from 1987.
