Later London Series (late 1980s)
Crash (Cartier London) — Later London Series (late 1980s)
Small batches made by Cartier London in the late 1980s, with cases by Arthur Withers that show sharper forms and edges than the first series. Still 43 mm long and London-signed, which collectors prize over the smaller Paris watches. Documented examples: 1987 (case 34716A), 1988 (case 40237, 43 × 25 mm), 1990 (case 76’068, 43 × 24 mm) and a 1990-hallmarked watch with a February 1991 guarantee.
No reference number: London Crash watches are identified by case number and London hallmark date letter. About a dozen were made under Jean-Jacques Cartier; later small runs followed in the late 1980s. The production end date is not settled (see notes).
