Steel, Luminous Dial · TL Schmidt Engraved Caseback
A luminous-dial 5699 with an engraved caseback naming LT. COL. T. L. Schmidt. Bulang & Sons documents the owner history; the pictured Longines certificate explicitly says the engraving was added after the watch left the company, so it is not presented as a factory military issue.
The pictured Certificate of Origin and Authenticity, dated 17 December 2018, records reference 5699, order 23086 and invoicing to Longines-Wittnauer on 21 February 1952. The dealer’s approximate 1945–1947 dating is retained as a separate claim, not a production range.
Separate central hands record elapsed seconds and elapsed minutes; this is not a split-seconds display.
The right subsidiary register records elapsed chronograph hours.
Six tool recesses in a screw-down caseback; this historical construction does not establish present water resistance.

Longines 13ZN-12
Central-minute configuration of the manually wound 13ZN family, with separate central elapsed-second and elapsed-minute hands plus a twelve-hour register. Specialist sources distinguish it from split-seconds chronographs and state that it lacks flyback; the base 13ZN name alone does not establish this configuration.
Manual winding · 18,000 vph · 17 jewels
The pictured Longines certificate dates the engraving to after the watch left the company; it is not asserted as factory military issue.
