Cartier London
Tank Normale — Cartier London
Undated
Made or retailed by the London house. Cartier London made Tanks from the 1950s, almost always with LeCoultre movements; under Jean-Jacques Cartier, cases came from the Wright & Davies workshop and carry the “JC” maker’s mark.
No reference number: early Cartier Tanks were made individually rather than to a numbered reference, and collectors identify them by model name, maison and case numbers. Made in very limited numbers throughout; the men’s case of about 23 × 30 mm stayed essentially unchanged.
