Eight Days
Tank Allongée — Eight Days
c. 1930–c. 1949
Built around a rectangular twin-barrel European Watch & Clock Co. movement (LeCoultre 124 ébauche) that runs eight days. Unlike the standard Tank and Cintrée, the case is straight with sharply down-turned angular lugs. Fewer than ten Cartier eight-day wristwatches from the 1930s–40s are known, in yellow, pink and white gold and platinum; the high cost of the movement kept numbers small.
