Royal Oak 25554
1984–c. 19923 variants
The first Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, shown at Basel on 5 April 1984 as model 5554 and soon renamed 25554. Calibre 2120/2800 squeezed into the 5402 monocoque: bezel raised, crystal thinned, the big gasket replaced by a metal ring, two screws made decorative to clear the correctors – 7.5 mm thick. The dial drops both the Tapisserie and the applied logo. Month at 12, date at 3, moon at 6, day at 9, no leap-year display.
About 270 delivered 1984–1992. Of the first 110, 16 came back for water-resistance problems within three years; many were later converted to the 25654 case.
