35 mm case with screwed back and faceted lugs; white dial with applied steel indices, Arabic 6 and 12 and centre seconds. Soft-iron dial and inner case resist 600 gauss. Lume plots were applied to the crystal, so most watches with replaced crystals have none. Geneva gave examples to the commanders of the USS Nautilus and USS Skate after their 1958 polar voyages.
