Observation watch made to the German Air Ministry’s B-Uhr specification, the largest wristwatch IWC had made: 55 × 16.5 mm and 183 g, conical crown for gloved hands, soft-iron movement protection and a long riveted strap to wear over a flight jacket. IWC was one of five B-Uhr makers and the only fully Swiss one. Maker names do not appear on B-Uhr dials; the case engravings carry “FL 23883” and production details.
