Tank Basculante
1932–?6 variants
The original Basculante. Its reversing case was developed with LeCoultre, César de Trey of Spécialités Horlogères (Lausanne) and Jaeger in Paris, and patented for Cartier in 1932; it was first called the “Cabriolet Reversible”. Unlike the Reverso’s sliding carrier, the Basculante pivots on fixed lateral pins within its frame and can rotate a full 360°.
No reference number: identified by model name and case numbers. Original production was limited.
