The first Offshore: 42 × 14.05 mm when 36 mm was the norm, with a thick visible gasket, rubber-clad crown and pushers, a soft-iron anti-magnetic cage, a Petite Tapisserie dial and a Gay Frères bracelet with rounded links. Cases by Centror. Shown cautiously at Basel (22–29 April 1993) and nicknamed “The Beast”; Genta called it a “sea elephant”. Priced CHF 16,600, twice a classic Royal Oak.
10,896 delivered 1993–2016 (7,308 ST, 2,914 TI, 589 BA, 64 SA, 21 BC, 10 PT, 1 SR, 1 SN); first deliveries 25 November 1993, 61 that year. Calibre 2126/2840, later 2226/2840 and 2326/2840.
