Pasha de Cartier
Cartier’s round sports watch, launched in 1985 to a design by Gérald Genta: a 38 mm gold case with a broad bezel, Vendôme lugs and a screw-down crown cap on a chain, a square minute track inside the round dial and large numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9. Steel arrived in 1990, the 35 mm Pasha C in 1995 and a 32 mm size in 1998; complications and Collection Privée editions followed. The name honours the Pasha of Marrakesh, but no proof exists that a Pasha watch was made for him in the 1930s.
